My student loan is paid off!

Or, anyway, the balance has been transferred into personal line of credit. Even so, I'm in good shape and still hope to be debt-free by the summer.

Yippee! That's fantastic! And I really mean that-- debt is such a pervasive part of our lives now that having it is expected and the norm. To be debt free (well, nearly, anyway) is a serious accomplishment. We're working on that too as something to get done in 2008. You should go celebrate--just don't buy anything expensive, LOL.

It is pretty ridiculous how much of a debt-ridden (or is it debt-driven?) society we live in. And yes, I'm already telling myself "do not splurge to celebrate, do not splurge to celebrate.."

It's sad, actually, the way this current age focuses on materialism. Hey, I can be materialistic too, but not to where it controls my life. Meh, I think my brain has had a lot of free time since I've been home with the flu to mull things over. Mad Scientist alert! I really came back to tell you that maybe just a *teensy splurge* is well deserved. Damn materialism!

I think a teensy splurge is inevitable at this point! But I still have a fairly long list of photo related gear to buy.. actually, it's a short list but high-end stuff, probably around $10,000 or so. It's more in the "want" category than the "need" category, thankfully. As my business makes enough money to pick up the remaining items I plan to do so.

Wow! Awesome!

Now that's a sign of hard work (and good decisions).

Thanks! And yes, I have been working very hard at it. It's starting to pay off, metaphorically and literally.

Such an accomplishment....I am in awe of you...and wiping some green off my face, as I peer into the abyss of debt that bears my name....you fortunate man!
