Your photo subjects are so whimsical sometimes. But it's more than that-- you take the mundane and make them interesting. Like you see a tiny glimpse of a story. Where are these shakers? In an old diner? Who was sitting at the table? What was their story?
That kind of thing. I love looking at them.

I do love taking the mundane and twisting it somehow. I believe that, in many ways, every day is a miracle. We take so many things in our life for granted. I certainly try to keep my eyes and mind open.

I couldn't agree with you more. We take so many things for granted (I could probably tie this in with my earlier rant about consumerism and materialism, but I will not so your eyes won't bleed).
My personal philosophy of life is to find one thing a day at least that moves me, excites me, makes me think, etc. Many of them *are* mundane. Perhaps that's another reason I enjoy your pictures so much.

I certainly have my consumerist/materialist moments, but I make a conscious effort to not let it get the best of me or take over my life.

There are times, especially when I'm as busy as I am now, that I do just slog through the day to get to the other side. That's part of why I try to keep my camera with me all the time, so when I do catch something that sparks me, I can seize the moment.
