Oh my god, he was so cute and so fast! It's hard to tell here just how small he is, but he was no bigger than a penny, I'd say. You caught a great expression, the way he was watching you out of the corner of his eye (if that's possible!)

He is a tiny little crab I saw on the beach at Tulum. You can see the size of the sand grains for reference.

great shot....he really does look like he would be saying "You talkin' to ME!?!" or something rather menacing....or as menacing as a teeny crab can be....hee-hee. You have a cute crab.

He's quite adorable. His little hole kept getting washed over so he would pop out, fling away a bunch of sand in disgust, and skitter back into the hole.
