Taken with my grandfather's now refurbished Canon TLb, 50mm lens on XP2, scanned from the negative and cropped slightly. I'm still not sure if I like the total lack of detail in the shadow areas or not, I think it works pretty well for this image though.

I love that picture. The lack of details in the shadow areas really keeps the focus on the face of the cat. It appeals to me!!

Thanks! I'm kinda flip-flopping on it overall, but yes, the high contrast definitely keeps the eye on the subject :)
