These DOF shot's you've been doing lately, is that a 1.8? Almost seems like its more then that.

The extreme close-ups (like the water drop previously) have been with my macro lens, Canon's 100mm f/2.8. I'm still learning how to get good results with that lens; I keep having problems with camera shake and at 1:1 magnifications the depth of field is so small it's easy to miss the focus. I probably took about 20 shots for the one of the water drop which turned out. It was at 2.8, if memory serves, but most of the time I've been trying to squeeze out more depth of field with that lens.

This one was with my brand-new 50mm f/1.4, but it was still stopped down to f/2.8. I haven't had much of a chance to play with it (this shot was taken about an hour after I got the lens) but so far I'm quite pleased with it.
